Organizational Behaviour, according to Ricky W Griffin and Gregory Moorehead(2013), can be better understood by comparing and contrasting the environment affecting an organization. Further to this, they have identified 3 fields namely: "Human behaviour in organizational setting, organization itself and the individual-organization interface". Human behaviour in organization simply refers to all the individual qualities that a person brings into an organization while organization itself refers to the factors that affect the behaviour of an organization as a separate entity. People in an organization do not work alone. They need to interact with other individuals, which is why studying human behaviour becomes necessary in an organization. Furthermore, an organization continues to exist while people leave or join an organization. Hence it is equally important to study the factors that affect an organization (Ricky W Griffin, Gregory Moorehead). The unison of these two fields mentioned above gives rise to individual-organization interface.

In addition to the above data, organizational behaviour can be studied using theories such as Theory X and Y (McGregor and Maslow) and Maslow's hierarchy of needs and models such as 7 S model(framework) etc. (Ricky W. Griffin, Anne O'Leary-Kelly 2004). I believe that the subject organization behaviour majorly focuses on people in an organization and hence it becomes mandatory to use aforesaid tools and models to determine their behaviour in an organization.
