Week one

Identify a time in your life when you had to make a personal or professional decision, such as buying a home, changing jobs, enrolling in school, or relocating to another state or region.

About four years ago I made the decision to move from Deltona, Fl to Denton, TX. This was not a easy decision to make since I had lived in Florida my whole life. I had to think about money and how much it would take to get to another state. I had to plan out the route I would take to get there and what route would be easiest to take. I had to think about the best time to drive and the hazards along the way. The most important thing I had to think about though was the job availability in Texas as that was my reason for wanting to move because Florida was on the down side of the economy and being fresh out of high school not a lot of companies wanted to hire me, especially when they could hire someone who had experience.

My decision making process was not in the steps included in the text. I was eighteen and did not really make the best decisions at that time in my life. Even though moving to Texas had a great impact on me as a person I did eventually move back to Florida in two years. I think if I had used the steps included in the text that I would have just stayed in Florida and tried my luck with minimum wages and part-time hours. Which would have lead me to the same spot I am at today, which is hiring my education so I can make more than minimum wage.
