Typical colonial was a homestead farmer who lived well with his family in large part upon the produce of his own land.

The colonists didn't have a main religion and were mostly free to practice whichever religion suited them.
There was a big contrast in the topography and nature life in the Northern colonies and the Southern colonies.
There was many conflicts between different groups of people in the colonies often two opposite sides with one superior to the other
