Vulnerable Population on a Homeless Person

Today we are going to talk about a homeless person. When we talk about homeless I mean it is someone that lives on the street that is where they sleep, they eat whatever they can find and they also move around until they can find a place to sleep.

See there are a lot of reasons how they become homeless. They lost their job and then they lost their homes, there are getting a divorce and they don't have family around so they have to stay on the street.

This is a challenge to define homeless today. But there is another problem in determine the homeless it deals with the transient the nature of the homeless population. But there is a lot of people do not understand that they can get help before they become homeless. There is HUD which will help someone to get a place before they go on the streets. But if they don't have any income HUD will help you out. In 2007 there were over six million people that were homeless nationwide. But that was a six percent reduction from 2007.

Then we will look at the year of 2007. There are over a thousand chronically homeless that were living in a shelter. But there was veterans, people with STD's and even youth. There is even domestic violence, those who suffer from very severe illness and some that had a chronic substance abuse. That is a lot of different kinds of people.

The most people that live in shelters are African-Americas and or Latino which are middle age men that live alone. But women usually get housing and only a little come to a shelter. But when someone stays in a shelter they can only stay for two weeks to a month but in a transitional home is a less then so many days.

Now we are going to talk about what causes the homeless people. Homeless is not a challenge to those who are homeless. But as human services professionals we have to be committed for those who are homeless and that are experiences poverty and homeless. But there are a lot of poor and negative words toward the homeless. There are a lot of stereotypes of the poor population. The most common negative toward homeless is those that are poor and those that have mental issues. A lot of people blames the people for their bad lot in life not that they lost everything.

See the reason why people are so negative toward homeless is because of the following reasons. The public nature of homeless to those that don't have a permit home cause they were forced out in the open, they stop have good hygiene, they have to beg for money and food.

Many experts think that people thinks that they are homeless people because they abuse drugs and alcohol, don't shower, they beg for money to get drugs, and alcohol but yet they are danger to the public because some homeless will do anything to get by in life.

Let us talk about the history of the homeless people in the United States from back years ago to today. This change throughout the years prior to the middle Ages from around the fourteenth to the seventeen century. In the early ages the churches where the ones to be responsible for the care of the poor and this does include the homeless. But back then in the Middle Ages the homeless was consisted of being be the wandering poor people. But I ask how can they be consisted of these? But back then if
