Research project on Quality standard of EMBA program

Problem:

EMBA program is being offered by the business faculty of Dhaka University. Being the top most public university in Bangladesh, Dhaka University is expected to maintain a high quality standard of education. But it is perceived that quality standard of EMBA program is not that much high.

Dependant variable:

Quality perception of EMBA program offered by business faculty of University of Dhaka.

Quality is perceived to be dependent upon:

a. Student's quality: It depends upon the background of the student, difficulty level of the entrance examination, Performance of the student in entrance examination, selection policy.

b. Teacher's quality: Capability of the student, their readiness and incentive to deliver according to their capability.

c. Program design: Evaluation system, provision for enough practical work.

d. Infrastructure: Class room, equipment etc.

e. Quality perception by the outsiders (employer, prospective students etc.)

Independent variable and questions have been set keeping the above mentioned point in mind.

Independent variables:

3. Objective of enrolling to the MBA program.

4. The program is successful in attracting brilliant/high quality students

5. Entrance examination is well designed to allow only top quality/brilliant students.

6. Achievement of degree from this University creates a brand value for the students.

7. Achievement of degree gives student a competitive edge.

8. Students are keen and serious to learn.

9. Students have enough time for study.

10. All teachers are delivering adequately according to their capability.

11. Teachers are utilizing their full class time properly and effectively.

12. Teachers are citing and discussing enough case studies.

13. Teachers are encouraging practical activities.

14. Grading system is adequately reflecting the merit of the students.

15. Administration is serious in enforcing quality constraints.
