Standards, other than PMBOK will not be used to audit the approach.

PMBOK (5th edition) will be taken as a standard to audit the project manager’s approach towards the project.

All the deliverables will be well defined and delivered on time.

Any information regarding the funding or financial statements of the project will not be included.

Recommendations and lessons learned will be documented for future reference.

Failure to deliver the deliverables on time

Probability: 0.2

Impact: Loss of credibility/loss of grades

Working regularly and keeping a check on the deadlines.

Failure in getting all the documents approved by the sponsor within the timeframe

Probability: 0.4

Impact: Rejection of the documents

There is a probability of this risk event occurring because of the busy schedule of the project sponsor. But finishing the work before time and sending it for approval before time would help mitigating.

Communication failure or failure to arrange meetings with the project sponsor

Probability: 0.2

Impact: Project may be unnecessarily interrupted

The project sponsor will be kept informed regarding the meeting schedule in advance. A couple of meetings will be arranged over the weekends if convenient with the sponsor

Risks related to the technology being used to communicate

Probability: 0.2

Impact: Project may be unnecessarily interrupted

The probability of this event occurring is quite low as there are many other alternatives to communicate. Telephonic conversation or the video calls over the internet will be used alternatively.
