         ICT and study skills are common subjects in many parts of the world. This course is designed to teach student the skills to learn effectively requires learning in the future and beyond. This assignment will point out the importance of this subject and how to apply it to life in order to improve learning methods in the future to achieve better efficiency. Moreover, this course covers skills such as referencing and plagiarism, researching and using resource, planning and writing, presenting and working in team. All these skills are needed in our studies and future jobs.  

First of all, with the development of the internet, people can easily access and collect evidence from various sources. It brings a lot of benefits to humans but also the consequences for the false information. As is estimated by The Hustle, 50% of information on the Internet is not true (Cochrane Seaman, 2016). Researching and using resources skills in ICT & study skills courses will help you to define, distinguish and properly use academic sources. Skills will help students understand clearly what is academic, non-academic sources from which instructions on how to find and use the relevant sources properly and efficiently. People need to understand how to identify academic sources, this is very important because it will give them the correct information. Moreover, finding a lot of information from multiple sources can make a lot of different opinions in many aspects. If students rely only on a few sources, there will be no balance in the argument. Additionally, this ability also helps students to improve reading comprehension skills by searching for information from the sources. Researching and using resource skills in ICT and study skills module are essential for future learning and further by the above benefits of this skill. Students can apply this skill to improve knowledge search for applications in lessons and beyond, when they go to work, they know how to use accurate facts to complete the work better.

Secondly, other skills that a student be enrolled in ICT and study skills courses are referencing and plagiarism. Referencing will show where you find and use of human ideas and apply them to the article or your job. Students ought to indicate for referencing is how to recognize the dedication of the people you've borrowed ideas. Students do not have to be devised, seeking out ideas so this is just documentation, reference information, and you must indicate the source. Moreover, if you do not specify a reference, you will be considered cheating or plagiarism. The lookup and reference is a way to reinforce your argument. It helps to point out to everyone that has a lot of experts to prove that this is true and not your own opinion. It increases the evidence makes the argument more closely to convince people that your idea is reasonable. Reference also indicates that the student has studied and has used these references on the same topic. Quoting the reference will point out to everyone that you have researched the problem and your understanding on this matter. Referencing skill is an essential skill because of its importance in our study and future work. The application of referencing skills on the job is very high, because it helps to improve quality, strengthen the evidence of the post in the future.
