PEST analysis: branding of Private varsities also can be followed by some PEST analysis like:

1. Political changes: The political environment and culture play a great role in our country. Many prominent politicians and renowned tycoons are having their own private varsities. But the irony is that there is no politics in those varsities. The reasons may be attributed to the business policies of attracting guardians because the socio-economic practice of our culture doesn't allow the guardians to greet the nasty politics of Bangladesh warmly. So, to brand private varsities this is a strong feature of them that there is no politics there.

2. Economic changes: after the establishment of the very first private universities, they could get the students who are not good students and whose parents are rich. But the scenario has changed now a days. People are more solvent than before and many middle class families can afford to have their education in expensive private varsities. So, the target market has boomed and broadened and what all the guardians or students want is good quality of education and faculties. If they can be provided that, it wont be difficult to grab this target market.

3. Technological changes: newer technologies have been introduced over the last few years and since private varsities have to look gorgeous, they have to sanction all those technologies like Wifi connectivity, latest softwares, well equipped computer centers with latest versions and digital library. Its really difficult for a public varsity to sanction all those within a short time. But since it's not a big deal for a private varsity, I think attracting and branding will not be difficult as well.

4. Social changes: our social views have also changed. Previously only bad students read in private varsities. But now a days many good students whose guardians can afford the fees have the private varsities as their 1st choice. On the other hand there is no session jam like public varsities. The practice of English is also more visible in private varsities. So the environment is friendlier for the urban young students who are the main target market. So, it should be highlighted in order to brand that homogeneity of urban people can be found only in private varsities.
