How were the enormous Giza pyramids built? There are several different theories on how they were built but only two theories are very well known. One of the theories is that the pyramids were built by aliens. This theory is based off of the information I got from a writer named Keith Mayes, but it probably is a theory that many people have assumed for years. This theory is based on that the pyramids are aligned so perfectly with the point of a compass that it only makes sense that aliens made the pyramids. Another theory is that the Egyptians were very smart people that engineered a way to build these pyramids. The second theory is the one that I believe to be true.

I believe that the Egyptians people were smart enough to engineer a way to build the pyramids based on the information I collected from Mike Molyneaux. To move the huge blocks the Egyptians invented a sled that would be attached to a beast (did not say what kind) pulling the block. This sled was wooden and was pliable; it needed to be due to the soft ground texture in their area. The wheel had been invented but they had little use for it because of the ground. The blocks would be pulled up inclined ramps; these ramps would get bigger and bigger as the pyramid got bigger; these ramps eventually became part of the pyramid. After the blocks were in place, they used several teams of people to swing a long log that was attached to rope to build up momentum. This technique made the block fit tightly into its slot. Once they got to the top they would use the lever method to move and shift the last few blocks. Their lever method consisted of countering the weight of the block. They made their levers with thick long logs of wood attached together with rope.

I believe this to be true because there is scientific reasoning behind this theory. The lever method is a proven method for mankind to move large heavy objects. It also makes sense that the sled was used to move the blocks. I can understand and physical imagine these techniques that the Egyptians used. This theory seems to be a very justified way that the pyramids got built.

To summarize, the Egyptians were very intellectual people that used their knowledge of levers, man power, animal power, and their own invention of the sled to build their pyramids. Since the pyramids required so much man power it probably built unity among the Egyptian people because there were several people working towards a common goal. So really there is no "mystery" to how the pyramids were built, just there is no set in "limestone" method that was used over the other. The pyramids will forever bet consider one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
