I believe in giving second chances. I believe in deciding whether or not to give someone a second chance or to think about the fact if the person deserves it, but as time has passed I've come to see that giving second chances is the right thing for me to do when it comes to that point. Giving a second chance is like giving out another opportunity, it's an opportunity for whoever it's given to look back on their mistakes and they can come to a realization of where they went wrong. It allows them to think upon what they've done and it gives them another chance to turn things around.

I believe in second chances mainly because I went through a time where I really had to think about giving someone another chance. I had been cheated on and at first my instinct was to not take that person back, I had that idea in my head for about a week until I got that text message saying “Will you give me another chance?” this question of course had my mind spinning in all kinds of different directions. I didn't know what to do at the moment but say “Let me think about it” this was the time where I ask myself should I do it or not? I was afraid to ask my best friend what to do because I already knew she would say no with a lot of other things. But it wasn't up to anyone else but me and so I said yes and gave them a second chance. Even though my best friend disagreed I knew that this was the right choice for me to make.

In my eyes life is too short and to meaningful to not forgive someone or dwell on their mistakes. I was afraid of losing the person I deeply cared about I didn't want to see myself without them anymore that was the main reason for giving a second chance. I'm not perfect and neither is a lot of people in this world who have gone through the same situation I went through. Everyone makes mistakes at some point or another, I always think if you were in my position what would you have done?

I believe in second chances. I believe in whether or not to give someone a second chance. Having given an opportunity of a second chance should not be wasted or taken lightly upon. Having this is to show that person that you're willing to change and learn from your mistakes for the better. I myself would hope to gain a second chance if I was ever given the opportunity.
