What About Guns in Schools?
School killings have been a main issue in today's society. Student casualties have upset parents across the country. What could be a solution for this problem? I believe by though training and understanding, firearms should be held in public schools so we can protect our students, teachers, and parents.
Primarily, by keeping firearms in public schools we will be able to protect the student's lives. Through unfortunate columbines over the recent years, students have become more and more concerned about their lives at their own school where they want to actually learn. Some student's feel that they rather be home schooled than to attend their own home school. Who wants that? Attending a physical school is part of a child's growing up. That is part of childhood. Safety of these children is important as well. These students just want to learn and not be killed. Having protection in their own school will keep these children alive and well protected.
In addition, the teachers of these public schools will have the ability to protect their classes from any violence, not only their classes, but them as well. If these teachers or professors are killed then who will takeover? How much money does the institution or county have to pay to bring in new teachers? These questions are very important. Teachers are also known to build relationships with these students which could very much affect the lives of the students if the teachers are killed. By giving permission and training to these teachers to carry a firearm in their classroom will benefit not only for their lives but their students lives as well.
On the other hand, parents can benefit from this action as well. Knowing a parent's child is going to a safe school offers a lot of comfort ability between the parent and the child as well. Parents have a lot on their plate through their everyday lives with their job already and worrying if their child is going to survive is the last thing they want to hear. By keeping legal firearms in the schools will build trust and comfort between the school and parent.
In conclusion, by keeping firearms in the public schools will guarantee safety, a constant relationship, and trust for the students, teachers, and parents. No one in this world deserves to die, especially children that just want to learn.
