Friday, January 28, 2011, Debra had gone to work as usual. Upon her arrival the telephone was ringing with students that were calling to make an appointment for the upcoming fall enrollment. The office where Debra worked was very busy due to the high volume of students. By mid afternoon, Debra eyes were fastened on the clock which stood outside her door waiting for the end of another day at work. 5pm had finally arrived and Debra was putting on her coat as she exited the office.

The traffic on Linden Blvd was very congested; Bumper to bumper traffic. Debra repeatedly saying "This is crazy, do people really drive like this"? Finally, with a sigh of relief as she turned the corner, home sweet home.

When Debra arrived, she was greeted by her older siblings who had just arrived a few hours before she had. Arrangements were completed and it was all just a matter of hours that Debra would never get to see her mother again.

After the funeral services were over, Debra had some time to think. Thoughts of college had been something that she had always desired, but without her greatest supporter, she felt the need to call it quits. College was something her mother had always encouraged her to do. Because Debra was a single parent at an early age, it had prevented her from attending college after High School.

With all that Debra has been faced with thus far, she has still remained strong and in tact. Her willingness to complete school is her top priority and what brought her pain, has now brought her passion. Her mother is now her motivating force and
