Current Issue

Best Telemarketing Corporation is a corporation that promotes quality customer service to the fullest. All employees are expected to provide customers a high level of competency, critical thinking skills, and must be able to strategically solve problems.

Over 65% of our do not have a college education and 20% are currently seeking a postsecondary degree. Best Telemarketing Corporation is thrives off good business practices and effective communication skills. However, most of our employees lack the necessary skills to solve problems and make good business decisions. Due to the lack of competent business and communication, Best Telemarketing Corporation's turnover rate is at its all time high. The company is losing more money through our training program because of continuous new training classes and training material. The company also has to pay out more money for unemployment pay if the employees are terminated because of performance. The problem is that majority of our employees lack effective business tactics and communication skills.

Solution

Higher Education is the solution. If our employees were thoroughly trained in business or communication, Best Telemarketing Corporation's customer service will excel and the retention/turnover rate will decrease. Employees would be eligible for management or other staff promotions within the company if they obtain a post-secondary degree. According to an article in the Chron, a news site related to Businesses, a bachelor's degree in business provide persons with a well-formed foundation relating to employee management and creating a dynamic workplace environment (Osmond). Business degrees will help Best Telemarketing Corporation's employees increase their business skills: leadership, interpersonal communication, technology and other valuable character traits (Osmond). Business communications expands communications theory with an emphasis on how it could used to advance the interests of corporations (Education Portal, 2012), such as Best Telemarketing Corporation. Effective communication will allow employees to communicate with diverse groups/customers and stakeholders involved in the company.

Employees earning and receiving a bachelor's degree in business or communication will have an opportunity to choose another career. Best Telemarketing Corporation should be known to the community as a company y who promotes higher education and career advancement. Employees will have several career options if there is no advancement within the Best Telemarketing Corporation once they obtain their degree.

A business degree has several aspects to it and an employee majoring in a business degree has a variety of business areas they can focus in. Most business majors choose to go into management. A business degree can give an employee several options.

If an employee obtains a bachelor's degree in Business, they will be marketable in the following career fields:

* Business Management

* Entrepreneurship

* Human Resources

* Finance

* Accounting

* Marketing/Advertising

* Economics

Communications degree jobs are diverse, and readily available. If an employee obtains a bachelor's degree in Communication, they will be marketable in the following career fields:

* Public Relations

* Technical Writer

* Customer Service

* Media
