When I first decided to go back to school I was afraid. How could I juggle everything in my life? From school work to house work to spending time with my kids and my husband or just having time to myself, how could I make it all work? I want to earn my degree more than anything but don't want to sacrifice time with my family. I had to make sure to plan out everything to make sure I had time for everything. My future is important and I'm willing to work hard to achieve my goals.
When I was 17 I got a job working as a hostess at a local restaurant. I was good at my job and eventually moved up to become a bartender. I worked in all aspects of the food industry and loved it but never felt complete. It wasn't until I was fired from my last job a year ago that I finally told myself it was time for me to be happy. I wanted a career not just a job, and the only thing I had ever dreamed of doing is working in a museum or alongside archeologist. I've always enjoyed all things that have to do with history, and I've always wanted to learn other languages. Not only would it make it easier with my children it would also take away the anxiety of returning to school. After consulting some web sites I enrolled at Ashford. I'm happy with my choice so far. I've had little trouble keeping up with my work, and the text is easy to keep up with. I've all so enjoyed the discussions between my classmates. Returning to school has put more stress on my home life, but I'm doing my best to make it work. I've learned to balance and schedule my homework with everything else, it's not easy but my family is very supportive. Besides earning my degree, returning to school is important to me for my daughters. I want them to see me working hard and achieving my goals so when it their turn they'll want the same things. I want, if nothing else, for them to learn that if they set goals for themselves and follow their plans you can achieve anything you desire. I have a dream that one day I will take my family to Egypt and show them things and teach them things
