Dear Hiring Manager,

My name is James Lurati. I am currently applying for a logistical position with Central Texas College.I am looking to move up in employment from where I am currently working. The base closures in the Mannheim/ Heidelberg area are forcing me to look a little further away for employment, I am willing commute to Weisbaden or Kaiserslautern, that is no problem for me. I need to stay employed as a military civilian to keep my ID card, so I can finish my degree that I am working for through the University of Maryland using my Post 911 GI Bill. I have 60 credit hours and I am only a couple more semesters away from having my Associates Degree. I have plenty of experience working with computers in an office environment. I used to be the Assistant Manager for Innovative Designs where I worked first hand with the customer, dealing with their wants and needs. I also spent time after I was injured in OIF 07-08 working in the motor pool office. I am an excellent problem solver who enjoys a good challenge. I also have knowledge of every Microsoft Office program and have completed a course through UMUC dealing with nothing but Microsoft Office. I am also a fairly quick typist. I have plenty of experience with Reg Track the cash handling program that is used with MWR. I am someone who sticks to the task at hand in order to get the job done as quick as possible. I am excellent in time management, and am always looking for something to do to stay busy to help get the day by faster. I find that when you have nothing to do the day kind of just drags by and every minute seems like forever. I would just like to thank you for considering me for this position. If you find me not qualified for the position, I would just like to say that I am a quick learner who sticks to the task at hand and does not stray until the job is finished. I hope that my resume says to you what I haven't said here and I would just like to say that I would love to finally work in an office environment again. The only reason I had left Innovative Designs was to serve my country and join the Army. I would like to thank you for your time.
