Dear Hiring Manager,
I am a current student at DeVry College pursuing a bachelor's degree in Network Communications Management. I have been studying Network Management for four years now; two years in high school and two years in college. All of my studies have been based on Cisco equipment. I plan to take and pass my CCNA in July and then go for my CCNP later on this year.
I am writing this to inform you that I have great interest in the Network Internship position you currently have to offer. I want to start building up experience before I graduate so when I get my bachelor's and I'm ready to start my career, I would feel comfortable and confident in what I am doing.
The courses that I have completed have given me a solid foundation in the tools, processes and methodologies involved in the successful analysis and management of networking strategies. I have proven the ability to quickly learn challenging concepts and have developed competencies in diverse areas, including:
* Networking Fundamentals
* LAN Switching and Wireless
* Routing Protocols and Concepts
* Accessing the WAN
Along with my analytical strengths, I have great knowledge in basic Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Access, Visio and PowerPoint. I also have hands-on experience in class labs with switches, routers and emulation activities on Packet Tracer. I have worked in a lot of retail companies since I have started college which built my experience in providing great customer service. The last retail job I worked in was at Staples. My position there was an Easy Tech Associate. I gained experience fixing PC's and I was also in a technology based environment.
I know that Cablevision is a widely known company in New York City, and it would be great if I can get my career started with you. I believe that I would make a great worker for your company because I am very organized, detailed oriented, and highly motivated. If you agree that I will be a valuable addition to your team, please feel free to call me at (347)448-9741, or email me at chad.dookie@yahoo.com. Thank you for taking your time to read this, and I look forward to speaking with you.
Sincerely,
Chad A. Dookie
