BT Infinity.

This is the new Broadband service that BT have started to offer and the reason that there is such a push on it is because of its super speeds and the reason that they have managed to achieve this is through the use of Optic Fiber Technology.

The TV Advert shown below takes the concept of the Fiber Optic (Light Data) and shows a massive bust of light above the Earth I believe this is trying to show how they can connect the world together through the Internet (www). They used this vision of light scattering because this was the whole concept of Fiber Optic, light traveling at high speeds to produce data.

The Advantages of using Television Advertisement is that, you are much more likely to have more people viewing it, than any other method of advertising. If put on at peak times on various different channels this will lead to more and more people viewing it and then more and more people making enquiries about their offer, which in theory will lead to more customers and a bigger customer database. Also the fact that the advert stands out and really catches the views attention by the way it tries to show how it can effect everyday life and connect everybody, to become a part of something. The Disadvantages would be that advertising on TV is very costly and may not generate as much publicity as expected, also because the advert has to be for a set period of time, this either means that they don't have enough time to mention all the key factors of BT Infinity of that they have too much time and fill it with irrelevant and uninteresting things, which will make the viewer less interested. Also making sure that it sticks to all the rules about advertising, so making sure that it is appropriate for the times that it is being shown and also if it is deemed unsuitable BT can be fined and the advert can be removed without their consent.
