I love science because it helps explain everything in life. It allows us to know where things come from and how they're formed. In addition, science is never ending because there is always something new to discover. One cannot help but be amazed about how much can be learned. Without science, especially physics and biology, there won't be any true understanding of nature or ourselves. Our society depends increasingly upon technology to help our world. In addition, anyone can benefit by learning at least the most rudimentary tenets of science. Science is everywhere so anyone can relate to it and know how it has helped us. What really interests me in science is geology. Studying the Earth is amazing. In addition, I'm very interested in alternative energy like solar power and hydropower. Also I'm interested in biology, astronomy, chemistry, and genetics.
I would like to attend Manhattan/Hunter Science High School so I can gain more knowledge from other teachers and students. I like to share my knowledge with other students as well. Another reason I would like to attend Hunter High School is that this school offers great programs, fascinating clubs, extra curricular activities, and PSAL sports that interest me. I'd also like to receive 30 college credits upon graduation. Also I'd like access to the Hunter College library and take courses at Hunter College. I think that the class sizes aren't too big and the school is very organized. Overall, I think this school is excellent academically and could use a wonderful student like me.dedicated
