What is time? The World English Dictionary describes time as the continuous passage of existence in which events pass from a state of potentiality in the future, through the present, to a state of finality in the past. Time can be specifically measured in intervals by the passing of seconds, minutes, and hours, or by specified emotional qualities, such as having a good time, or bad time. Time is also classified as the duration of human existence. (See World English Dictionary def. of time)

Time is a commodity that if not properly respected, the one in possession of it may find that it is either too little or too much to competently handle. For the purpose of completing this exercise, delving into the realities of attempting to control something as elusive as time seems impossible, and the complex truth is that it is not time that needs to be managed it is how you handle yourself in time.

There is a familiar riddle that asks the question; "How do you eat an Elephant?" The answer is; "One bite at a time."

The next step after setting goals is prioritizing how to achieve the vision. For the sake of continuity, I will stick with the visualization of the elephant. My goal is to consume this massive task, and maintain the energy level that is needed to see it through. Setting priorities is of major importance especially when there are other areas that need attention as well. Understanding the dynamic of scheduling time to attend to hitting the mark as far as the goal is concerned is fine but there are the underlying factors of life that must be interjected into this process too. Being able to assess in the early stages how much time and effort go into completing any given task will ensure not getting burned out, or becoming frustrated. The key here is quality of time over quantity of time.

In October of 2010, I graduated from a Business Management class. One of the first things the instructor warned us about was figuring out how to handle interruptions. With so many things going on I have had to take a really hard look at not only how I self-sabotage,
