U.S. 2012 Senatorial Campaign

The primaries are under way in Maryland to reduce the number of candidates for the U.S Senate seat. It's going to be a tough competition to beat Ben Cardin who is running for re-election. There are several candidates for the senate and a short biography of each candidate.

Raymond Blagmon Democratic holds a master's of science in Taxation. He has grown up on military bases and he himself was in the military. Blagmon "believes in economy that produces family wage paying jobs for the working families in America."

J.P. Cusick Democratic has been incarcerated several times for child support and some misdemeanors for painting the pillars of "Circuit Court, child support enforcement office, and the Maryland state house after his release for the third time his child support case is now closed." Cusick's , " top priority is to reform the Child Support and Custody laws, so to stop turning parents into criminals and stop turning parenting into a crime."

Chris Garner Democratic attended the United States military academy. He is a graduate of The University of Maryland of Engineering. Both his parents were in the military. Some issues that affect citizens are "Terrorists, and Illegal Aliens. In our state, the legislature has fired, furloughed and reduced the pay of Maryland citizens in order to fund illegal alien healthcare. Ralph Jaffe Democratic he "pioneered a new teaching mythology which was signed into law while he was a teacher in Baltimore County by President Nixon." Some issues Garner seeks are to stop corruption in Maryland politics.

C. Anthony Muse Democratic holds office as State Senate District 26 he is founder and senior pastor for Ark of Safety Christian Church. The issues that face Maryland are Health care delivery. He has sponsored legislation to give tax breaks to seniors and to lower taxes for veterans. He has supported legislation to help those with physical and mental disabilities. Blaine Bruce Taylor Democratic has a BA in History from Towson University. Taylor is an author, and was a press secretary for Bush-Quayle and many others. Joseph Alexander Republican attended District of Columbia school of law and is a practicing attorney for Joseph Alexander since 2009 and has been a temp for various law firms. Also, he worked for Werner law firm from 1997-2009 Alexander was a candidate for Senate in 2010.

Lih Young, Ph.D. Democratic she has been a candidate for public office since 1994. Young received her PhD in Economics in 1977 from the University of New York. ). Robert Broadus Republican was in many clubs in high school and a MVP for his football team. He holds a BA degree in political science from the US Naval Academy.
