Transportation Case

Dear Parents,
In the past, many of our students who are attending basketball, soccer, track, and cheerleading practice at 4:15 will be riding the buses. This is permissible; however, we need to inform you about policy regarding this.
* If students leave the afterschool program to attend sports practices, games, or other activities, they become the responsibility of the supervising adult for that activity. If they are to ride the after school bus, it is the responsibility of that adult to make sure that they are released on time and safely escorted to the bus ramp.
* Only those students enrolled may ride the buses after such an activity; however, the understanding must be that they have to be on the bus ramp by 5:25 p.m.
* Buses cannot be called back to the school after they have left. This throws off the schedule for the other students on the bus and for the adults who are waiting at each stop. If a child misses the bus, a parent or guardian will be called to pick them up from the school.
* If a parent wants their child to ride the bus following a school practice or activity (and that child is enrolled in the program), the parent needs to fill out the form below and return it to their teacher as soon as possible.
Please keep the above policies for your records and return the bottom portion.
____I understand the above policies and will abide by them.
____Yes, I want my child, who is already enrolled in the program, to ride the bus following practice/activity. I understand that the supervising adult for that activity is responsible for releasing my child on time and ensuring that they are on the bus.
____No, I do not want my child to ride the afterschool program bus after practice. I have arranged other transportation.
