The Odyssey Case

The Odyssey opens with Odysseus being apprehended on the island of Ogygia, for the next seven years. Odysseus left his wife and home twenty-years before that, to join the Trojan Wars. These confrontations with Troy lasted for 10 years, and he has all the intention to go back home to his wife, but a miscalculation took him to god Poseidon, it took him another ten years of traveling, because of this Odyssey and his men landed in different island. Odyssey ended it up on Calypso's.

In the Odysseys, women play an important part in Odysseus life. Odysseus is obligated to leave Ithaca because of a women name Helen, Odysseys was married to Penelope, who was very influential on Odysseys. Throughout Odysseus trip his seem some one who has a substantial influence on Odysseus, Circle, who was his main obstacle, with Circle extraordinary beauty and kindness it was impossible for Odysseus to immediately to return back home. Because Circle was so kind and her sensuality she used this to get what she wants from men. Even though Circle used her beauty to amazed men, she try to seduce Odysseus and try to get him in to bed, Odysseus try to resist her but cannot, he tells her that she most not try to get him in to "trouble", she agree and because he could not resist her beauty he got in to bed with her.

After several years away from his wife Penelope Odysseus was growing very lonely, because of this the only women he has to satisfied necessities was Circle. Circle used her beauty and generous to retain Odysseus away from home, even though she gave him a potion, this did not have an effect on Odysseus. Circle did not have the need to such a thing since he was so vulnerable. Because Odysseus has so much time at war and at seas he was so vulnerable to fall for someone so beautiful and sensual like Circle. Odysseus was so into Circle because she teats him like no one did during his trips. The first time he arrived to Circle she gave him a drink in "a drink in a golden cup". Before this Odysseus struggle to survive, now he was being treated like a king. This is a addition Circle's maid who Circle instructed to wait on Odysseus. One of the maids precisely bath Odysseus. This kindness and overall concern with which Circle receives, Odysseus adds it to her already appeals. Time pass by and Odysseus time to go back came; some of his crew told him that it was time to go home to his native land. Circle kindness and general treatment put Odysseus in a trance and take him away from his mission. Circle uses her attractive look and charm to distract Odysseus, acting like an obstacle on his journey back home. When Odysseus arrives in Ithaca he arrived as a beggar and right away was mistreated. Someone recognizes him but do not say anything and also his wife Penelope notice him but had doubts. Finally Odysseus uncovers him self and reunited with his family.
