The sculpture of Venus de Milo is the symbol of beauty since 130 B.C.E, although both her arms are missed, her beauty still not vanish. The recent research shows that the original pose of this statue, her left hand hold the golden apple and right hand put on the leg. Her pose shows the beautiful shape of women's body, and the golden apple represents the most beautiful woman in the world. I think this sculpture presents the unique style of the Greek art, and the detail of the facial feature and her clothes all display the perfect proportion. In brief, I think she indeed matches the title of the symbol of beauty, no matter she has hands or not, her face and the body shape make her deserve this great title.
It says that Nefertiti, the queen of the Egypt who is a very beautiful and obsessive woman, every man who sees her will crush on her. When I see the picture of Nefertiti's sculpture, she is indeed very pretty and shows the confident, elegant. Her facial feature is very refined and well-proportioned, it also totally emphasizes how noble she is, and the cap crown also presents the detail of the decoration. But I have a little doubt of the true looking of Nefertiti, because her looking is too perfect and a bit of unreality for the ancient time of the Egypt. Although the truthfulness of Nefertiti's look is doubtful, I still want to go to the museum which is in the German to see the real sculpture of her.
