There are many problems that people have when their friends start to change and I am not the type of person that will willingly change for their friends. Some friends will want you to change with them. There are some times that they will try so hard to get you to change but you wont change you will just let that friendship drift apart.
If you pay close attention you will notice that Peter and Thomas get into a fight because Thomas has changed so fast. Thomas has become a Nazi member, because he thought he should take part of the blame for stealing the radio from the bakery. Instead Peter is arrested and forced to change into a Hitler youth member. In the time that Peter is being arrested Thomas escapes on the truck that's driving away.
Also another part that there is problems is after Thomas has become a Nazi and he is trying to get Arvid to change his mind about the Jews. Arvid has his own thoughts about what the Jews have done. Arvid says the Jews have done nothing wrong.
Some people believe that getting into fights is the best way to solve problems. I believe that fights are wrong and it's the worst way to solve a problem. All fights do is cause more problems.
When there are problems in a friendship the two friends will loose this friendship. In the movie Swing Kids Arvid, Peter and Thomas grow apart because of their belief of Hitler and the Jews. In my opinion the Hitler situation was wrong. There was no reason for Hitler and the Nazis to kill off the Jewish people.
