Star bucks core competencies which also highlights their strength has been a critical point for their succession in the coffee industry. To survive in a certainly competitive industry a company must differentiate themselves from their competitors and gain a competitive advantage over them. These can be specialised skills, product differences, human resources, brand power or marketing strategies. The core competency from Star bucks goes all the way from selecting their coffee beans to producing and selling that special coffee that sets them apart from their competitors.
