Protagonist Analysis

The movie "Catch Me If You Can" is full of fun and based on American biographic law-breaking comedy drama. Tom Hanks is a pro artist, who played the role as a strait-laced F.B.I. agent. He acted to pursue Frank for his persistence and confront and to blame the criminal charges. He shown his crucial appearance and behavior against Frank as a FBI agent, but he also has inner emotions for Frank. It is because; he knew that 1963, Frank was a fresh faced 15 years old child. He also has two choices that are to arrest Frank and not to arrest, but he chosen to arrest the Frank as he was a criminal and make several law breaking activities. He also has values for the countries and his constitution that was to punish the criminals (Holden, 2002).

Antagonist Analysis

In this movie, Frank Abagnale had played an effective role as a con artist. He had a danger view and behavior from the outside, because he was acting as villain. But, he also had inner emotional and moral equalities for his father, because his mother left his father at the time of divorce. He had both positive and negative characteristics, when he performed his acts. The negative characteristics include the struggle with running from the family and police and wanted to live alone. He also has positive characteristics, when he got engaged with Rosalie. There are several changes made after the divorce of his parents and he selected criminal way to live his life (Ebert, 2002).

This movie has the most of setting in the United State with the 46 filming locations and places for the actions. For example, 3077 East California Boulevard, Pasadena, California, USA used as a white house of franks' mother house. All the actions of movie filmed in the USA such as Ambassador Hotel, Borough Hall as a Chase bank, Fine Arts Auditorium as a university and Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel as a Tropicana Motel. In addition, Ontario International Airport also used for locations for airport actions (Movies locations, 2013).

This movie has the main theme that how a distressed childhood has great impact on the life of other people in the drastic way. In this, a 14 years old child (Frank Abagnale) got trouble to select one of his parent due to their divorce. He had to select his father due to most two reasons that are most loved to his father and his two other brothers chosen by his mom. He had made several attempts to joint his broken family once and to get back live together.
