Self-Introduction

1. Good morning/ afternoon, everyone. May I have your attention, please?

2. First of all, I really appreciate for giving me this opportunity to stand here again, and I will do my best. And then I would like to introduce myself briefly. My name is James. I am 11 years old. Now I am studying at fifth grade in *** elementary school. I love playing football and badminton, so you probably guess how I spend most of my spare time. I really enjoy eating my mom's sandwich, and my favorite fruits are strawberries and watermelons.

3. Finally, to be honest, I am a luck boy since I have a wonderful mother. She not only takes care of me very well in daily life, but also is my spirit mentor. I am especially interested in English, despite that I had a very hard time before. If I choose to play football instead of studying English, her words are very impressive, " If someday you become a good world-class football player, how can you communicate with your team members if you don't understand English? " Maybe, I like to study English not for the football, but at that time it really encourages me a lot. She always teachs me in her way, and it works for me.

4. By the way, today is her birthday, and she deserves a best gift from me--the sweetest thing I can do for her is earning the permit for the final contest.
