Random Passage is Newfounald story based on the survival. I think that "Random Passage". Has become a bestseller because a lot of people would love to know more about how the living style of Newfoundlanders was a few years back. It especially comes handy when people are writing stories, articles, and education purposes. It also reminds people of how great they are today to live in such ways, and how these people in the novel had to struggle go get through the years, facing everything by just living in a shed for the first bit of their arrival in the Cape. It's a great way to show the older ways of survival. In the novel "Random Passage", I think I identify most with the character Lavinia. I think this because, she doesn't like getting blamed or punished for the things she has not done, like me, it is probably the worst thing you can get into. Also, Lavinia is the only one in her family who can read or write therefore has education. She doesn't seem to like to changing things, like myself, I hate having to adjust to something new, especially if it is completely different from what I'm use to, and depending on the situation, it could take a while. As well, Lavinia to me seems like she can get angry or ticked off with things quite easily, sometimes with the littlest things. Again, I relate to this! Sometimes, things don't need to be big to make me a bit angry, especially to people. If I don't know a person very well, but I know how they act and how they look at you, it really gets to me. For example, in the novel Lavinia doesn't really know Mary Bundle well, but the way she kept looking at Lvainia, and the way she acted around a group of people, really bugged Lavinia. So as you can see, I relate to Lavinia in more than one way
