Racial Bias Against Minorities: Will It Ever Stop?
Racial discrimination happens when employees are discriminated on the basis of race, religion, color, nationality, origin, age, disability, gender and sexual preference. The aspect of discrimination can be applied in hiring, firing, compensation, job advertisement, retirement, testing, use of common facilities, training and apprenticeship programs, fringe benefits, pay retirement plans etc. In united stated racism has been apparent since slavery time. People with color were considered to be less. To date they are also few in number compared to the whites hence as the saying goes "majority rules" they have done just that.
How and what will need to be done for racial discrimination against minorities to end? What causes racial discrimination?
The provision of the Civil Right Act of 1964, Title vii prohibits discrimination against race, religion, sex or national origin. The policy was put in place to address the condition of millions of minorities who were denied economic and educational opportunities. The U. S. Equal employment opportunity commission EEOC works to enforce all the laws. They oversee and coordinate all federal equal employment opportunity regulation, policies and practices. The law dictates that the policies and regulation to be accessible in all organization as needed. Also through government support agencies have been formed to educate and represent the minority in cases of discrimination.

"Then why do we still have racial discrimination? People have fears and prejudices instilled at early ages other develop those fears and prejudices as they move through life. But the sad reality is that racial discrimination exists and the victims of racial discrimination suffer severe emotional distress and economic disaster" (10)
Companies discriminate on different levels. Racial discrimination is nothing short of ignorance. The culture of a company may contribute to discrimination in a big way. People who join companies tend to follow the trends they find so if it happens that they are racist the culture tends to be carried through generations. Those who discriminate believe they are better and have negative images of minorities i.e. perceiving majority to be more competent until proven otherwise. Naturally people tend to be comfortable with their own kind. When managers happen to be the majority group they tend to employee their own, they may do that consciously or subconsciously.
In United States and the world at large most businesses are owned and operated by the majority. Since its human nature to trust relatives they employ them to overlook the businesses and because all jobs have level the family control the managerial
