Paintball: How Paintball Started

This paper is going to be about the history of paintball, the equipment used, and the first game played. Paintball is a sport where you go around shooting people with water-based paint in a ball that explodes on impact. Paintball as a sport started in the early 1970's, when it was used as a tool for marking trees and livestock.

Paintball is a great sport and really popular and how it started is my first theme. People who published the newly formed game for the public and the people who made it my first mini-theme. Secondly is the expenses of paintballs. Lastly is the variety's of paintballs. How paintball started is what this paper is about.

Paintball started by using the gun to mark trees and land by it shooting streams of paint at them and then it advanced into a pellet of paint so it would shoot farther and more accurate. It was then designed by three drunken people (Hayes Noel, Charles Gaines, and Bob Gumsey) who wanted to play a game where you stalk your prey and then shoot them for fun. Founders of the newly formed game and nine other friends, one of which was a New York film producer that played the newly produced game published an article about it for the public to hear about it. Since he was one of the people to play the first game he called it NSG (National Survival Game) in an article. But shortly after the first game they produced water-based paint instead of oil based so that it wouldn't stain clothes. Paintball started by marking trees temporarily with paint and livestock with paint so you know it's your animal.

This paragraph is going to be about the different expenses of paintballs and what is better. Paintballs that are the most expensive are the first runs, which are filtered out of a machine and because of their perfect shape and size are more expensive and are boxed and used for tournaments. The second most expensive paintballs are normally a bit disfigured and have dimples in them. These are also usually cheaper and used for recball play. Paintballs that are the cheapest are the ones that make it past both filters and boxed in plain boxes and sold to people as practice paintballs. Paintballs differ from expenses.

This paragraph is going to be about the varieties of paintballs. Paintballs come in a lot of different varieties and in thickness. Usually recball players have thicker paintballs and tournament players have thinner paint in their paintballs. Paintballs will break easier or harder depending on their thickness.

Paintballs differ in thickness.
