Officials Application Form.

Please accept this letter as my expression of interest for the position of Head Girl, commencing September 2015.

1) What role do you think the Senior Officials play in the sixth form and whole school community?

I think the role of senior official is without a doubt of great importance playing an imperative role internally and externally whilst representing the school. Internally, officials act as role models to the younger years as well as listening, supporting and most importantly giving every student a chance to express their opinion regardless of their age. Externally I believe that senior officials must be able to promote the school to the best of their ability and insure that the schools ideology is accurately perceived by other students and generally in the community.

3) Describe a situation where you have contributed in some way to your school community or where you have demonstrated leadership?

Throughout my years at school I have always been involved with school activities. For example I have been a part of many school plays where I have presented the ability to speak in front of a crowd similar to the speeches Head Girls will be expected to perform. As well as this I have been asked to talk among the senior officials on opening evenings to the new parents about the transition from year 7 to year 8. I have also been form captain, school council and sports captain not only showing that I have natural leadership qualities but that I am able to channel the ideas of a large group and effectively deliver them to senior members of staff. I also played a big role in charity events throughout the years including prom and most recently rag week. I organised a charity bench ball match against the teachers which was very successful and we raised a lot of money.

4) Being part of a team is an important part of being a senior official. Describe a situation where you have had to
