The objective of this paper is to develop pre-negotiation objectives and a negotiation plan. The primary goal is delivery of the carts prior to the opening of the hospital. The solicitation set delivery at sixty days prior to opening; however, a final delivery of thirty days prior to opening is acceptable. Delivery of the carts at the earliest possible date is essential to allow for stocking. The second goal is for pricing, adherence to budgetary constraints is essential. Another goal is to ensure all carts are equipped with casters that are durable and can withstand the heavy use of these carts. The final goal is to have all carts of the same make and model and have parts are interchangeable. The preferred color for the carts is red, but with pricing and delivery, taking precedence colors other than red may be an option. In the event of a selection of a color other than red, the vendor must have sufficient quantities to fulfill the order in the secondary color.
The overall objective is for the procurement of sturdy crash carts with the ability to withstand strenuous use in a hospital environment. In the procurement of these carts budgetary constraints adhered. From information gathered, the best-case scenario would yield the carts at in the range of two hundred fifty thousand to two hundred seventy five thousand dollars. The targeted goal is to procure the carts at three hundred thousand dollars. The final agreement must include a delivery date that is a minimum of thirty days prior to opening of the hospital. If any vendor were unable to meet the delivery date, this would be a deal breaker. The only anticipated issue is meeting the delivery date. The negotiation process will be successful if we have the total carts necessary; they meet durability standards and are within budget.
