Was the group aware of all possible resources and did they make effective use of them? Specifically list all resources used including literature, people, etc.
Our group was aware of all our resources because we had a wide selection since we are doing sports. We went to the library to obtain information on the rules and the origin of the game. We quickly found what we needed as far as stats and leagues on the Internet. Most of Mike and Is information and slides came from our pure knowledge of the game because we grew up playing basketball and we still play on a college level. Some resources we found helpful though were:
1. Allen Iverson-The Answer
2. Only The Strong Survive: The Odyssey Of Allen Iverson
3. NBA.com
4. Mike and Is life experience and knowledge
We were aware that there were many other sources in the library but these were the most effective because we quickly got the information we were looking for.
E. Specifically identify how the group presentation will meet the various learning style needs of your audience from the perspective of auditory, visual and kinesthetic needs?
Our group presentation satisfies all of those needs throughout our presentation. We are doing a PowerPoint presentation that the visual people in the class will find helpful because they will be able to read what we are talking about. The auditory will be able to follow along easy because all of the information on our slides is what we are going to be talking about to the class. Some of the slides are more auditory because not every single detail is going to be on the slide and for some information you will have to listen. The kinesthetic people will be involved at the end because our point of this presentation as you will see is to prove to you (the audience) which sport is better Basketball or Hockey. After we are done with our slides we will hand out index cards so the class can vote which sport they like better or liked hearing about more.
F. Which discussion techniques were used and what was their impact? Which decision-making techniques were used and how did each separate technique impact the group process?
A A discussion technique that was used was consensus. Kerri who was our leader would state something that we could do or might work well and see if the group agrees. If the group disagreed then we would work together and find a better idea. Many ideas on how we should conduct our presentation came from our whole group agreeing what would be best. If Mike and I didn't like something or how it sounded we would share it with the group and work towards a resolution. This impacted the group in a big way because it wasn't only Mike and Is ideas and judgment on our work we had Kerri and Nicole to give us some recommendations and see if we all agreed. A decision-making
