When eating general foods often people do not look at their average calorie intake. However, when using mathematical equations the food public is able to determine the number of calories of fat in every food group. To analyze the protein content I used the equation 4 multiplied by the number of grams of protein within the food items, which equals the number of calories.

The three food items I chose for this project are the following: All Natural Melba snacks, Roman Noodles, and Tuna. I chose these items because they are foods that I eat often and all of them are fat free. The All Natural Melba snacks are whole grain crackers. The Roman noodles are a quickly made soup. Tuna is a high protein fish. In order to find the calories within the protein I used the formula 4(x) = number of fat calories. While using this formula I found that the Melba snacks had 8 grams of calories from fat. I also found that Roman noodles had 20 grams and Tuna had 44 grams of calories derived of fat. For example the Melba snacks had 2 grams of protein once distributed into the formula like so 4(2) = 8 calories from fat. Roman noodles had 5 grams of protein, hence the formula was 4(5) =10 calories of fat. Finally the Tuna had 11 grams of protein meaning the formula would be 4(11) =44 calories of fat.

Obviously while using the formula 4(x) = number of calories of fat throughout protein content, each food that was said to be fat free had fat calories. The only food that contained very little grams of fat during this experiment was the All Natural Melba snacks which is 8 grams of fat.
