City vs. Country
Since urbanization appeared, people had to choose where they live because there were two options, anymore. A city or a country... It was always difficult to decide because both of choices have their own benefits. To be able to choose more easily, we need to examine in detail these life areas. We need to focus three main points; pollution, population and crime.
The first point we should compare is pollution. With the industrialization, cities have become appropriate locations for air pollution. Firstly, increasing the number of factories, secondly increasing the using rate of cars and other factors have adversely affected cities. In contrast, countries have more fresh air than cities in the absence of negative factors. Moreover, it is possible to you smell of grass and hay. You can smell the nature. Another type of pollution is land pollution. This type is often caused by human activities. In cities, usually local governments deal with this pollution type. In countries, the nature takes care of this problem and requires very little human help. A country could be less dangerous in this type. Lastly, we should compare noise pollution levels. Nowadays, it is one of the most dangerous threat for human health. This pollution, primarily affects the nervous system of people. The source of the pollution is mainly construction and transportation systems. If these factors are considered, cities are a few steps ahead about it.
One of the points that should be investigated is population. Especially, in recent centuries, cities have larger population than countries. Generally, countries are not crowded places. People know each other. On the other hand, people who live in cities don't know even their neighbors. However, this situation can be viewed in another aspect. Large population could provide the opportunities to meet more people. Cities may have more options than countries. Also a larger population might mean more possibility for employment. People can find jobs more easily in cities. At least, there are more job options. On the other hand, people who live in countries don't have to be well-educated persons to have a job. In general, there are jobs for relatively uneducated people. Lastly, population is related to peace. Some people may choose smaller population to have a more peaceful life but some may choose larger population. It depends on individuals. Generally, countries are found more peaceful than cities. It is more possible to live in harmony in countryside.
This brings us to the last point we should compare; crime. The first thing about crime is its level. Usually, crime rates are much higher in cities than countries. Another point about crime is types of it. Commonly, fewer types of crime occur in countries. Also it can be said that crimes in cities could be more dangerous. On the basis of these points, we could say that living in a country safer than living
