This paper is about the Chilean Coal miners that were trapped for 68 days and survived by eating two teaspoons of tuna and a biscuit every two days. There were a total of 33 miners that were trapped but all of them survived due to being able to get into a shelter. They were there for 17 days before anyone knew that all of them were alive.

The purpose of this paper is to write two communications advising of the collapse, one is to the families of the miners and the other is a news release to Minera San Esteban employees. Both will be written and will then be delivered in the most appropriate means of delivery.

News Release to the Employees - All will be delivered via inter office e-mail

To all employees Today is August 5, 2010 and approximately one hour ago the mine at San JoseA has collapsed trapping 33 miners about 2300 feet underground. No further information is available at this time. We will do everything we possibly can to make sure that everyone survives.

Today is August 22, 2010 and we have received some great news, we have sent down a camera and have seen all of the miners along with a note that was sent up from the miner foreman stating "all are alive and doing well"! We are working very diligently to free all of the miners. No further information is available at this time, but as more details come in we will be relaying them to you all.

Today is August 23, 2010 all of the miner's all seem to be fine as they sang our national anthem because we have sent down some emergency supplies such as oxygen capsules, glucose and rehydration tablets meant to restore their digestive systems. The rescue could take up to four months but all will be rescued safe and sound.

Today is October 12, 2010 we are preparing to rescue the miners. A metal cylinder also known as a Phoenix capsule was made along with the Chilean flag was used as a hoist to raise each of the miners up one at a time. All are welcome to come to the site to help support the rescue, for those who choose to stay we will continue to update everyone as new details become available.

Today is October 13, 2010 the first of the 33 miners has been rescued! This process will be very time consuming as each rescue will take about four hours. Each miner will be supplied with oxygen for the long journey to the surface.

Today is October 14, 2010 and the last miner has been rescued. All men will be sent to Copiapo Regional Hospital to be checked out and make sure they were not suffering from any serious illnesses.

To the Families of the Miners - to be delivered face to face

A phone call to each one of the miner's family members asking them to come to our main office would be the first order of business. All family members that needed rides, company vehicles will be provided for them. Once all of the family members are gathered a
