Kids VS Fast Food
Kids and fast food and Obesity Children, teenagers, and even young adults are used to eating unhealthy foods by seeing the advertisement and promotion of each food. Nowadays a problem of fast food is widespread all over the world. Fast food restaurants situated almost in every country. Many individuals accuse fast food restaurants like McDonalds for the obesity problem in America. Obesity comes from eating fast food and unhealthy foods in general. Fast food made from a lot of high saturated fats and calories and if it is not worked off by exercising, then a person can become obese. How does this relate to Psychology? Some studies also suggest that an initial positive emotional response to advertising can make a product taste better. This is called the “expectancy theory” and is based on the idea that the best indication that you will actually like a product is if you expect to like the product. Case in point: In one study, Coke drinkers liked the taste of a cola beverage more when it was presented in a cup with a Coke logo as compared to a plain cup. Researchers have even shown that expectancies about the effect of an energy drink affect our physiological responses—including blood pressure, physical responsiveness, and mental acuity—even if we only thought we consumed the energy drink.
Understanding Health psychology, for years, we have known about the dangers of eating fast food, and that we should stop and eat more healthy food, but in the end, what motivate us to put down the fast food and eating health is not easy. Health psychologist study the factors that allow people to be healthy, recover from dying. Children are always told that they are the future of this country.
However, we are not doing a very good job in taking care of their bodies with the fast food. Greasy, unhealthy, oily food served on your tray. Seeing everyone eat it and get unhealthier and fatter with every bite is very nasty. Unhealthy food like French fries, chips, chocolate chip cookies, and other fatty, salty, and sugary junk being served to thousands of American kids every day. However, I think fast food is bad for people just like nicotine. It because for obese people, fast food can trigger the same response in the brain as people addicted to nicotine. Fast food is a major cause of children obesity. 32% of youth are overweight and nearly 74% are unfit consequently, there should be stricter regulations on junk foods at schools because kids can get sick cause of the obesity and the foods they eat. There are a lot of junk food at school cafeterias. However, that is means that schools are able to sell chocolate, high fructose juices, chips, or any other junk food that can make kids gain weight quickly and become unhealthy. Schools should think about kids and how to make them healthy not fat. Kids do not need to eat any unhealthy foods. Therefore, if schools ban these kinds of foods, kids will have a better chance at a better diet. Kids always need protein to play and be healthy. I think schools should be more careful about the food that they serve for kids. All schools should be making an effort to promoting healthy foods. If schools teach their students about healthy eating, they will begin to apply those lessons in their lives and have a better lifestyle. "Kids, Fast Food, Obesity - USDA. What’s more, 75 percent had too little calcium, 82 percent had too little iron.I am convinced that fast food is more harmful than healthy, but if kids eat it not very day, it will not damage their health body. I believe that fast foods are not healthy since they make families spend less time together I believe that parents need to teach their kids about fresh food and tell them how dangerous it is to eat junk food all the time even though is convenient and testy.
