Dear Sir / Madam,
I am writing to inform you about the first solo Canadian trade exhibition in Bangladesh which was held on February 20, 2011, and jointly organized by Canada Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CanCham Bangladesh) & the High Commission of Canada to Bangladesh. The landmark event titled "Canada Showcase 2011" took place at the prestigious Bangabandhu International Conference Centre, Dhaka.
Twenty three companies - both Canadian & Bangladeshi - put up exhibition booths, highlighting their capabilities and products, in one showroom. Canada Showcase 2011 also included seminars on both bilateral commerce and Canadian educational and a ceremony to present the Fourth Canadian Awards for Excellence in Bangladeshi Journalism. The Bangladeshi Commerce Minister formally inaugurated the Showcase, while Board of Investment's (BoI) Executive Chairman attended as chief guest at the seminar 'Doing Business with Canada'.
Following a successful inaugural event which attracted over XXX visitors, CanCham Bangladesh is planning for "Showcase Canada 2012" to be held on 4-5 March 2012 at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka, Bangladesh.
I am confident that Canadian firms and other enterprises active or actively interested in the Bangladesh market will want to take part in the show, along with local partners and clients, as means to stake out or expand business prospects in this vital emerging market.
It is my strong hope that the Canadian Chamber of Commerce will support Showcase Canada 2012 and make it a grand success. In this respect, I request you to kindly disseminate the attached information pack amongst your members and help raise awareness about Showcase Canada 2012.
If you need any additional information about the event, do feel free to contact me (email: , Tel: ) or the Chamber Secretary (email: , Tel: )
Wishing you a good day ahead!
Thanks and regards
