Jamaican is on a wonderful island surrounded by the Caribbean sea which is lush with sea life there is a lot of different kinds of fish which is what a lot of Jamaican people enjoy eating. Many people don't know that the capital of Jamaican is Kingston. Jamaica is the very first Caribbean island to gain independents this historical moment took place in 1962. Ever year many people from all-round the worlds go to Jamaica to see the amazing scenery and to try and enjoy there wonderful food. The climate in Jamaica is very hot and humid which is great if you are vacationing there to get away from the cold the temperature in Jamaica the temperature can reach up to 80f to 86f. This is extremely hot however 2,868 380 Jamaicans mange to survive in that climate. Many tourists come to Jamaica to see the mountains and discontinuous coastal plains. * Sports are part of the Jamaican culture. They enjoy football, Cricket, horse racing, and dominoes
* Jamaican family's tend to be very strict and the parents want their kids to be archive high grades and be very athletic
* They get chores like many other kids around the world such as setting the table cooking and cleaning
* In a Jamaican household there is not just mother and father. It is grandparents, aunts and uncles there are always family with you

Many people that live in Jamaica are very religious and stricken. There are two religions in Jamaica many people believe in Christianity and many other believe in Rastafarian. Christianity was first introduced to Jamaican people in 1790 when two Baptist came to Jamaica to teach the slaves about their god and belief's. Many Jamaicans were slaves in the 1790 so they started believing in Christianity hoping that it will give them a better future. The other religion that many Jamaicans believe is Rastafarian; it is Christian religion however it is influenced with Ethiopian culture. Rastafarian is also corporate with reggae and there are many dances with reggae. Many religions have beliefs and a rule that people have to follow an example is mussilums they have to wear hajis and have to eat hila meat. Rastafarians have to be vegetarians and they can never eat any meat other than fish also they have an option of keeping their hair in dreadlocks. Many there are many successful Jamaican people that a striving in the music and athletics such as Husain bolt and many reggae artiest such as vybz kartel. They are very successful because of the house hold that they were raised in many Jamaican parents are very strick and they want the best for their children be the best. They have a lot of chores just like normal kids and go to church every Saturday evenings. Church is important in Jamaican life it teaches them what's good and bad. In a Jamaican house hold there is not only a mom and dad there is also grandparents and great grandparents there is always someone looking out for you. Jamaican families are tightly woven together like a knit.
Staple food
* Patties - The patty is to Jamaicans what the hamburger is to Americans. A pattie is fried pie filled with either spicy meat or vegetables.
* Red peas soup - Jamaica's famous soups, made from kidney beans, salted pig tails, beef and vegetables
* Most commonly eaten during breakfast is :Ackee and saltfish fried dumpling or fried bammy; boiled banana or boiled yam. Tea (most hot drinks are referred to as "tea"): cerassee tea, cocoa, Milo, Blue Mountain coffee
* Most commonly eaten during lunch are: Patty, coco bread or bun and cheese. Lemonade, coconut water, sky juice,
* Most commonly eaten for dinner: Rice and peas; curried goat or chicken; jerk pork, fish or chicken; fried plantains or boiled banana. Juice (pawpaw, carrot, etc.)
* Side food is rice and peas and cabbage and pig foot
* Bread and pastry Jamaicans eat coca bread hard dough bread
* Jamaicans usually put there patties in coco bread for flavour
