Molins PLC is a long-standing international business employing over 800 people worldwide which operates in three different divisions; Tobacco Machinery, Packaging Machinery and Scientific Services. Molins 'supplies quality machinery and related support services and systems, principally to the fast moving consumer goods sectors, including tobacco, food and other high volume products.' They deem themselves a highly innovative, efficient company and has acquired other businesses like Cerulean and Arista Laboratories in recent years to remain competitive and meet market needs in an increasingly complex and changing world.
This report follows our presentation which advised you to not invest into Molins PLC as we believe it does not meet you requirements of a company with sustainability, ethics, and capital growth. Despite Molins stating that it has all of these qualities and is 'ethical in all its business relations', we believe it is Molins ethics which is the main deal breaker. Thus the document will present our findings and conclusions to help explain our reasoning in more depth.
