Global Mobile Solutions also operates in the Republic of Benin and has recently acquired licenses to operate in Ghana and the Ivory Coast. It has a reputation as one of the fastest growing mobile service providers in the world. Global Mobile Solutions aims to be recognized as the biggest and best mobile network in Africa. The company launched in Nigeria in 2003 with the vision to be the market leading service provider in Nigeria and also aspires to build the biggest and best telecommunications network with over 25 million subscribers, and through extending their coverage into other African countries like Republic of Benin, Ghana and the Ivory Coast, Global Mobile Solutions is well on track to achieving the company's goal of being the biggest and best telecommunications network in Africa.
Global Mobile Business Solutions is a special unit of Global Mobile that provides bespoke solutions to the complex telecom requirements of customers. The company offers Blackberry, Bandwidth and Corporate Data Business solutions. With the BlackBerry solutions, the company offers BlackBerry Internet Services and BlackBerry Enterprise Solutions. On the Bandwidth side, the company provide leased circuits, Bulk Internet Service and Direct Connect. Global Mobile Solutions, been the Continents fastest growing telecommunications company and faced with the dramatic rise in the number and sophistication of cyberattacks, on the information system across the networks, the company has requested that we determine if the Global Mobile Solutions offices in Nigeria including the headquarter, has effectively implemented Software and policy controls over their network. Software control will include Logical access and other information system control over its computerized data, evaluate their incident detection and response capabilities, and Policy control will be their information security program and related procedures.
This report provides a general summary of the computer security weaknesses that was identified in the unclassified information systems of Global Mobile Solutions that was reviewed as well as in the management of the department's information security program.
