Faith: Is it really Important?
What is faith? To whom can we profess faith? These are some of the questions that are almost always tackled in school debates. Some people might say that if you are a member of a certain religion, then you already have faith. But some religion would contradict that statement arguing that faith is based on the truth and proof. For me, I think that for a person to have faith, he or she must not only believe that his or her god exists, he or she must also profess his or her faith through by putting all of his or her trust and devotion to his or her god. In line with this, he or she must also show in his or her words and actions that he or she really believes in his or her god. Nowadays, there are so many religions around the world,. Some worship Jesus, Allah, Buddha and Vishnu among others. But does it really matter to whom we profess our faith? For some, it really mattered because it is their means of salvation and for some, it does not because they do not believe in the existence of a god. But what is important is that people must respect each other's beliefs so that unity will be achieved. Furthermore, if people will not respect each other's beliefs and opinions, then there would be chaos among each other. Moreover, a person must not imposed his or her religion to another person and try to convert him or her to his or her religion since it would mean that that person does not really respect the religion of the other. If a person really wants to be a member of a certain religion, then he or she must let that person decide.
