Environmental Quality

My controlled assessment in geography in this year. I have investigate environmental quality vary long a transect in my chosen locating?

Environmental quality is how good or bad the surrounding of an area are. Example of good environmental quality in an area clean pavement, cars parked, a lots of traffic, more safety, less graffiti, no crime and good and semi detached. Examples of bad environmental quality in an area a lots of rubbish, lots of cars on parked, more graffiti, type of houses, no safety and more green spaces. I want to find out environmental quality because I want know which area is the best and why.

The hypotheses that we wrote as a class in the field.

 There will be less litter and pollution as you move from the edge of the CBD to the outskirts of Birmingham.

 Housing will be larger and of a better quality as you move from the edge of the CBD to the outskirts of Birmingham.

 Traffic flow will be higher at the edge of the CBD compared to the outskirts of Birmingham.

 There will be greener spaces as you move from the edge of the CBD to the outskirts of Birmingham.

 There will be a marked change in land use from the edge of the CBD to the outskirts of Birmingham.

There will be less litter and pollution as you move from the edge of the CBD to the edge of Birmingham because there is more people more cars and more litter.

Housing will be larger and of a better quality as you move from the edge of the CBD to the edge of Birmingham because there is more land spaces and the land use is cheaper.

Traffic flow will be higher at the edge of the CBD compared to the edge of Birmingham there is more business and more people travelled.

There will be greener spaces as you move from the edge of the CBD to the edge of Birmingham because there are lots of spaces because there is less people.

There will be a marked change in land use from the edge of the CBD to the edge of Birmingham because there is more business is going on and there is more go to work.
