Distance Learning Checkpoint II

Yes I have given constructive criticism to a friend if we are talking or even giving advice to one another. It's totally different when giving criticism to a classmate in distance learning setting than face-to-face because you advice is given over the computer and you never have to see that person versus face- to-face. If you give advice and you hurt that person feelings you are present and able to see the emotion that your criticism caused that person. It could turn out to be a bad situation or even good depending on how you look at it.

Distance learning to me makes it easier to communicate because like me I'm shy and don't talk much in front of a large group of people. I don't ask questions because I'm afraid of being wrong or asking the wrong question. So with distance learning I'm not in front of anyone so it makes me a little more comfortable when asking questions and participating.

After the cold war we had no enemies. We found ourselves in a world that had changed. Now information is the key, we also had to learn that we were competing against the world for trade and resources. I think with this aspect it made us stronger as a country and made us more open minded to different ideas and situations that we could overcome and also learn to work together with other countries to get things down in an orderly fashion.BEFORE I BEGIN DISTANCE LEARNING I THOUGHT THAT IT WASN'T FOR ME. I ALWAYS SAID I WOULD NOT HAVE TIME TO COMPLETE THE ASSIGNMENTS OR I WOULD BECOME LAZY AND KEEP PUTTING OFF DOING MY ASSIGNMENTS. BUT NOW THAT I HAVE STARTED DISTANCE LEARNING I FEEL THAT IT IS CONVENIENT FOR ME, IT WORKS AROUND MY SCHEDULE AND I STILL HAVE TIME TO COMPLETE ALL MY ASSIGNMENTS AND STILL HAVE TIME FOR MY FAMILY WITHOUT BEING STRESS. I CHOSE DISTANCE LEARNING BECAUSE WHEN I DID DO TRADITIONAL FACE-TO-FACE, I DIDN'T WANT TO GET OUT OF BED IN THE MORNINGS TO GO TO EARLY CLASSES AND I HAD TO DRIVE 20 MILES TO GET TO THE SCHOOL. SO BY THE TIME I GOT THERE I WASN'T EXCITED ABOUT BEING THERE. DISTANCE LEARNING WORKS WITH ME I CAN JUST GET UP GO TO MY COMPUTER AND DO MY ASSIGNMENTS WITHOUT THE HASSLE OF DRIVING SO FAR FROM HOME. MY VIEW OF DISTANCE LEARNING HAS CHANGED BECAUSE I SEE HOW CONVENIENT IT IS. I'M NOT OVERLOADED WITH 4 OR 5 CLASSES, AND I DON'T HAVE TO DRIVE TO COMPLETE MY EDUCATION SO THAT I CAN BECOME SUCCESSFUL.
