The scariest place is the Biltmore Estate. Walking up to the Biltmore house in the dark, one can only feel apprehensive and scared. The house is very intimidating on the outside, with its gargoyles perched on top, and the over grown ivy taking over the house. When entering the house the smell of dampness and rotting wood permeates the home. Each room looks like it has been empty for years, with the cobwebs and dust as far as the eye can see. The pictures on the wall are of distorted faces, and the floors creek with every step you take. The doors close behind you when you walk in a room. The feeling of oppressiveness and loneliness feels the home.
When stepping into the garden, you can imagine the beauty it once was. Now there stands barren trees, black roses, and statues that seem to follow you wherever you go. The sounds of crows calling out sounds dreadful. and the fog makes it so difficult to see like a white blanket of smoke was right in front of your face. The horse stables are filled with black horses and their glowing red eyes look like they were out of the pit of hell. The seem agitated, and you can see the steam come out of their snout, and their hoofs hit the dirt floor with force like they were preparing for battle.
The Biltmore house is not for the faint of heart. Do not underestimate its beauty; that is how it draws you in.
