Coursework Assignment- Environmental Ethics

The environment is getting worse every day and one of the most worrying thing is global warming. Why is global warming happening? Well the main reason is YOU! The humanity is the reason global warming is happening, every time a tree gets cut down, this causes global warming, every time a we use coal or oil or gases, it causes global warming.

The main things that can be taken to more deep thoughts are all the thing we use for everyday life.

One main thing which can be taken to consideration is cement, cement is made by burning limestone, a process which makes so much carbon dioxide that it has become one of the major pollutants of the Earth's atmosphere, which leads to global warming and the fact that the economic side of the world build so many buildings, mean that the outcome is everlasting.

Electric power does not arise naturally: it must always be generated. But one of the main ways to generate electric power is to burn fossil-based fuels such as coal, oil or gas. This fuel burning is another major source of pollution of the Earth's atmosphere.

The burning of fossil-based fuels are both to generate electricity and to fuel cars, trucks, ships and airplane, this produces a lot of pollution, not only carbon dioxide, but carbon monoxide and different oxides of nitrogen . Still the carbon dioxide is produced in many ways by all coal-burning electricity generation stations and by all oil and gas heating systems and fuel burning engines, remains a major problem.

Moreover, I think I can help stop global warming and I think everyone can help reduce global warming by just the tiniest things they do every day.

One of the main things you can do is Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Do your part to reduce waste by choosing reusable products instead of disposables. Buying products with minimal packaging will help to reduce waste. And whenever you can, recycle paper, plastic, newspaper, glass and aluminium cans.

Also If you have the means to plant a tree, start digging. During photosynthesis, trees and other plants absorb carbon dioxide and give off oxygen. A single tree will absorb approximately one ton of carbon dioxide during its lifetime.

When it's time to buy a new car, choose one that offers good gas mileage. Avoid products that come with excess packaging, especially moulded plastic and other packaging that can't be recycled. If you reduce your household garbage by 10 percent, you can save 1,200 pounds of carbon dioxide annually.

We can help pollution get better by slowing down a lot of things such as not using the car as much and not littering because littering doesn't just affect our land but affects animals in the ocean and on land. We are as well but little do we know it we also get affected by pollution it is said that it can give you cancer by inhaling polluted air. You can do your bit by walking from place to place if it is walking distance and don't litter because we do share the world with other nations and they get affected by pollution as well. If we keep going on the way we are going we are all going to die because the ozone layer will burn away to nothing.

One of the most within-reach ways to stop pollution is to increase people's awareness that their actions are harmful to the environment.
