Abstract
It can be very difficult to start a computer repair business, but the rewards that come from this opportunity are enduring and a very fulfilling experience. Computer technology is one of the most rewarding careers in the market. The first and foremost entity to decide on is what kind of legal structure is best for the company. Depending on the type of legal structure the company chooses can determine the growth, tax rate, and marginal rate. The best thing to do is to sit down with a attorney and accountant, sort out tax and organizational ramifications to figure out what is right for the company. Next, total start-up expenses include initial expenses for establishing a website, setting up the business, and doing the pre-opening advertising. The biggest part of the start-up requirements are the need of the assets. The company will need diagnostic and repair equipment. Also, if the business is successful the first years, there should be room to but additional expensive equipment in a year or two. Start-up inventory will be a big part of it, which include all of the computer components. Last, the company will need to decide on what services they will offer the public. There is a variety of computer services to include: training, computer repair, networking, and upgrading services. Another entity to consider is maintenance contracts. That way the business clients can deal with technical support and repair needs as a single-line item expense. The very nature of the computing industry, with its extraordinary rate of technology development, creates a constant need for businesses skilled in updating and advising customers on a computer -related issues. The best advice is to take a business seriously if planning to start one.
