"Common Courtesy" is the phrase that everybody sees on every bus. However, some people seem to ignore or just forget it. They just act the way they want in a common place as if it is home or their own place. They cannot be charged because of that. Nevertheless, it shows their courtesy also their respect to others even themselves. Indeed, whenever people are in a common place, being polite to one another should be the first thing come to mind more than anything else.
I experienced a memorable time of courtesy on a bus. It was on a Friday afternoon. I headed towards the bus station after the last class. The sun of summer was beating mercilessly on my head. I felt a burning sensation on my face. Fortunately, I reached the bus station just as the bus arrived. A few people and I boarded the bus one by one. I was the last one to get on the bus. I did not forget to give the driver a smile or say, "Good afternoon, Sir" to him. Also, he said "Hi" back to me. I went straight to the back and had a seat. Moreover, from the back seat I could see everything in the front. However, right after being seated and starting to feel the comfort, I smelled something: French fries and Chinese food. I realized there were three girls were at the bus station with me. They sat five seats in front of me. They ate and talked so loud. A few people who sat next to them seemed to be uncomfortable. However, the smell of food in a bus with no door opened was not good, especially in summer time. Obviously, a board was hung on the top of the front door could be seen easily was written "No eating. No drinking." Those three girls did not care. After finishing their food, they got off the bus at the front door right next to the driver. They were still talking out loud and they ignored saying "Thank you" to the driver who just said "Take care!" to them.
Then, the bus slowly made its way through the city and picked up more people here and there. When it came to the other bus station, there was the largest number of people boarded the bus. It was full of people. I imagined the passengers were packed like sardines in the bus. There were no more seats and many people stood on the middle aisle. I took a look around and noticed an elderly woman who just got on the bus. She was at the front of the bus, wearing a long grey dress. "That is not the color for summer", I thought. I saw that she could hardly stand with a brown cane in her hand. Also, I saw a young plump man was sitting on two chairs with his arms spreading on the shoulders of the chairs next to the elderly woman. That woman asked that plump young man gently,
