Introduction
Over the years, the popularity of comic books has had a huge rise. With successful movie and video game adaptations of comic book heroes, comic book stores are oddly enough seeing a drop in sales. With more and more comics going online there is no need to go to comic book stores to purchase comics anymore. This is largely in part because there are so few comic book retailers out there to supply to the demanding public. This is why having an online comic book store that gives the customers the opportunity to purchase which ever comic they like would see a huge boost in sales. Having the online option gives people who live to far from comic shops to have them shipped right to their door. This also takes away the loss profits that physical comic shops suffer from, buying too much of what people do not want. Comic shops have to buy nearly everything to keep any customer that comes into the shop. If this were online though, the need to buy unwanted comics would no longer be an issue. This help saves money for the store as they will only order what is actually purchased and will have a positive impact on the environment because less unused products will need to be produced.
Revenue Model
Revenue is the most important aspect of any company. So to ensure the greatest amount of revenue the company will depend on a sales, advertisement and subscription model. Sales will be the driving force behind making the most amount of money. Each comic will be individually sold. Each comic will have its own individual price that is determined my multiple factors. The first factor, just enough to turn a profit by buying the rights from the comic book company. The next will be to adjust the price depending on the popularity of the comic. If the comic being purchased is a high seller then the price will be increased, if the popularity is low then there will not be much of an increase. The last factor will depend on the length of the comic. If it is a regular comic there will be no extra charge, if it is a graphic novel then there will be an extra charge related to the length. Though there are multiple extra charges that can be applied to each comic, all of these extra charges will not add up to a very high amount. If the charges add up to high then this will just simply turn people off from using the service all together.
Advertising will also play a huge part in generating revenue. The way comics will be available for customers to read once they have purchased a comic will be to store them in a cloud environment or offer them to be downloaded on to their computer for offline reading. By always keeping the comics in a cloud environment there will be the expectation that the customer will not physically download the comics to save space on their computer or mobile devices. When a customer reads a comic in the cloud environment we will have advertisements appear in the comics after every set amount of pages that a user goes through or set time. The advertisements can be anything from a simple ad that pops up or a video. The choice of ad or video will be up to the company paying to have their product advertised. Lastly there will be a yearly subscription fee in order to use the cloud environment to store the customer's comics. There will be different prices that can be chosen from. The price is dependent on how big of the capacity the customer wishes to have.
Payment Model
There are two ways to receive money from customer purchases. The two choices are to use in-house shopping cart software or to outsource and use a payment service provider. There are many to choose from so to narrow it down there will be a choice between an in-house software called bigcommerce and the payment service provider PayPal. Both paths have their own pros and cons. With the bigcommerce route the platinum plan will have to be chosen. This is the cheapest plan that offers unlimited products. This is essential since there is a vast amount of different comics out there and to limit how many different comics the site can offer will have a negative impact. The plan is $149.95 a month and comes with unlimited products, 50 staff logins, 15 GB of bandwidth, 1 GB of storage, and $100 free AdWords. The monthly price is the normal price for the amount of products that the store will be offering. Affording the monthly costs can come from subscription fees from customers. Over time this would be a great investment if the store has high sales. Though in order to avoid this it would be better to start off with using PayPal. PayPal is only $30 a month with a 2.2% - 2.9% +$0.30 on every transaction depending on monthly sales.

Marketing
Marketing should be no problem. Sites like Google offer services like Google AdWords. Google AdWords lets you create ads for your company and then Google distributes them out accordingly to target your audiences. There is a onetime setup payment and then it only costs $0.01 per click. Google AdWords never charges for unclicked ads. Besides this, paying for advertising on the major comic book publisher's sites along
