Chapter 10: "Besides My Parents, There Was..."
There has been a multitudinous amount of people who have influenced me in my lifetime thus far; therefore, I have attained much from different people all in different ways. All have given me great advice, which I have valued highly and always kept in mind. However, there is only one person that comes to mind when I think of the most influential person in my life. One person that I can run to in any situation: crying or smiling, talk to about anything, and can trust. This person was my superhero when I was little and now I call them my best friend and my heroine.
My heroine has dark brown, almost black, hair that is always either pulled back in a ponytail with a headband, or down with a headband holding it out of her eyes. She has the softest touch and warmest hugs I have ever encountered and a watch is always on her left wrist, accompanied by her mother's ring, wedding ring, and other rings on her fingers. Speaking in a soft tone, but still making it known when she wants something enforced; if I ever so slightly were to go toward her bad side I would be warned with her saying, "Do I need to put you over my knee? Megan, you may be seventeen but I can still do it!"
I know her better as Grandma. My grandma has helped me through the toughest times and has always listened to me no matter what. She gives me advice that I can use not only now, but also in my future, and even pass on to others. I love her and hope that she will be there for me for a very long time. I am very lucky to have a lady like Grandma in my life to be the biggest influence on me.
